One of my favorites for hot summer months is a fun twist on the classic Limoncello! A Bourbon Limoncello Cocktail has a fresh sour kick and is reminiscent of a whiskey sour.
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice

  • 3/4 oz limoncello

  • splash of simple syrup

  • 5-6 herb leaves – I like to use mint. lavender, rosemary or sage would all work here as well

  • 1.5 oz bourbon or rye

  • 4 dashes bitters

  • Garnish: lemon wheel, mint sprig, Yellow Brew Glitter

  • Add lemon juice and simple syrup to the bottom of a cocktail shaker.

  • Add limoncello, bourbon, bitters and herb leaves.

  • Add ice and shake for 10-12 seconds.

  • Add Ice and Yellow Brew Glitter to your rocks glass.

  • Double strain drink into your glass.

  • Garnish with lemon wheel and mint sprig.

If you're wanting something non-alcoholic, my go-to is my go-to is non-alcoholic Kombucha and Sparkling Water mixed with virtually any type of fruit! It is hydrating, refreshing, and a great alternative to drinks that contain alcohol. You just want to think about complimentary flavors along with what you have on hand. A squeeze of lemon, lime, or other citrus adds the perfect note to so many combos. Finally, if you have fresh herbs on hand, mint, basil, and lemon all combine wonderfully with lots of flavors.
 Ingredients may vary:
  • Ice

  • 1 – 16 ounce bottle of your favorite Kombucha

  • 1 can of your favorite sparkling water

  • A sprinkle of your favorite Brew Glitter

  • Garnish with your favorite complimentary garnish - lemon, mint etc

What is 4th of July without a BBQ to go along with our fun drinks, right?? I love to break out the smoker to throw some ribs on there, pair it with all the best fixins on the side - potatoes, pasta salad, veggies etc! I love it all! You can make cute red white and blue fruit skewers with the kids, an American Flag cake with strawberries and blueberries. The possibilities are endless!

Ultimate Frosty Patriotic Layered Drink

If you want a really festive patriotic drink, I highly suggest making a layered drink with red white and blue. It's a definite crowd pleaser, and totally on brand for the 4th of July! You'll really love how the red and blue sparkle, and all of your guests will be amazed.
"Bomb Pop" Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 ounces Vodka

  • 1 ounce Blue Curacao

  • 1 ounce Grenadine

  • 2 1/2 ounces Fresh Lemonade

  • Brew Glitter

  • Ice

  1. Prepare fresh lemonade into a pitcher for later use

  2. Add grenadine to a glass with a sprinkle of Red Brew Glitter - mix gently

  3. Fill glass with ice

  4. In a shaker, mix lemonade and vodka, shake briefly

  5. Take a shaker and gently and slowly pour the lemonade and vodka mix over the back of a spoon into the glass where the grenadine is to create a new layer.

  6. Grab the blue curacao and pour it into another empty glass. Add your Blue Brew Glitter to the glass. Once mixed together, gently pour over the back of a spoon on top of the previous layer.

  7. Garnish with a cherry

Alternatively, how about a holiday inspired Firecracker Margarita?! You can add an extra festive touch by adding some of our Shimmering Cocktail Rimming Salts to the glass, a crowd favorite for sure!
  1. Coat edge of a margarita glass with light corn syrup.

  2. Dip edge into the rimming salts (red is perfect for this!)

  3. Shake Tequila, Lime Juice and Blue Curaçao over ice.

  4. Pour into glass rimmed with shimmering rimming salts

Healthy & Non-Alcoholic

If you're in the mood to be healthy, you could always scratch all of the alcohol, simple syrup, and make yourself a deliciously blended strawberry banana and blueberry smoothie!  Perfect on hot summer days for breakfast or as a midday snack, and a great alternative sweet treat for kids. One thing I like to do with blended smoothies for my kids is add them to a Popsicle mold and make homemade Popsicles with them! They absolutely love them and don't realize how healthy they are. Every once in a while I'll add some greens to the blender and they can't even tell they're "extra healthy"!
