Brew Glitter's Pub Special
For almost 421 years, St. Patrick's Day has been celebrated worldwide, though many believe it's
been celebrated for a thousand years! As the #1 manufacturer of edible glitter in the world, Brew
Glitter wants you to continue the celebration and show you how to style different types of beer
in St. Patrick's Day colors!
To no surprise, beer is one of the most drunk drink on this green holiday! And we have to agree
that nothing is better than a cold beer during the celebration. Which is why we are going to be
covering the most popular beer types in America- so you can enjoy them too!
- West Coast IPA's are known for their bold hoppy aroma, bitterness and is usually accompanied by the citrus/pine notes. Modern West Coast IPA's are around 5.9% ABV and are brewed with higher amounts of hops.
- Sour beers, which can come in an array of colors, are known for their fruity and strong aroma, bitterness and is usually accompanied by sharp notes and tanginess. Most popular in the color red, they can be an acquired taste, but are also very refreshing.
- Pale Lagers, which can come in a light yellow color, are known for their crisp and light aroma, are easy to drink and are usually accompanied by a wheat flavor. These beers are extremely popular in the US and are also very refreshing
- Stout beers, which can come in an array of dark colors, are known for their strong and sweet aroma, extremely packed with flavor and are usually accompanied by soft notes and chocolates/vanilla's. Most popular in a dark brown, they can be an acquired taste.
- Indian Pale Ale's, which can come in darker yellows and can also be hazy, are known for their strong aromas, bitterness and is usually accompanied by sharp notes and a light wheat flavor. These beverages are very refreshing.
No matter your beer choice, here's a quick guide on how you can style them.
- West Coast IPA's and IPA's will tint whichever Brew Glitter color of choice slightly yellow. Basic color theory does apply, so Golds, Whites, Silvers, Yellows, Oranges and Clear Shimmer will come out most clearly with 1/8 tsp. If you'd like another color, we suggest adding more Brew Glitter to your Beer.
- Sours and Stout Beers will be harder to have color to come through due to their deeper hues. For these, we suggest using Gold, Silver, Clear Shimmer, Bronze, and Black Shimmer.
- Finally, for our Pale Lagers, any color will be able to come through clearly. If you have an American IPA Glass, then we continue to suggest adding 1/8 teaspoon of Brew Glitter to your beer. All of our colors are amazing, and are ready for the greens and golds to come through!
We hope this gives you an idea on how you will dress up your beer so you can celebrate in style! From all of Brew Glitter to you, we wish you a happy St. Patrick's Day!
