Hanukkah Sparkling Pear Sangria
Welcome back, Brew Glitter Fam! How is everyone's Hanukkah season? Well, we hope it's been amazing, but what if I said Brew Glitter could make it even better?
The first drink we're going to create a Sparkling Pear Sangria- wonderfully refreshing drink that has the loveliest after taste.
What you Need:
- Hanukkah Brew Glitter Combo Pack (4 PC SET)
- Mint Green Sugar Sand
- Blue and White Candy Cane Stripe Stirring Straws
- Solid Blue with White Polka Dots Stirring Straws
- Solid Light Blue Stirring Straws
- 3 Pears, medium green
- 1/4 cup Lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 1/2 cups Seltzer or club soda
- 1 1/2 cups Pear liqueur
- 1 (750-milliliter) bottle Prosecco
It's a simple drink to make- but first! A little Hanukkah Fun Fact.
Did you Know: Hanukkah does not have songs attributed to it for adults. There are some songs for children, but it is not at all like Christmas, where everyone somehow knows the lyrics to All I Want For Christmas Is You despite never actually listening to it. Now- to the drink!
First, take your Pear Liqueur and pour 1 1/2 cups into your pitcher. You won't need to add ice, since the champagne will be nice and chilled. Once you've added the liqueur, pour in the club soda and allow it to settle. Once it's done so, add in 1/2 teaspoon of Brew Glitter. The drink will naturally have a yellow tint, so adding colors like Blue, Teal, or Pink Brew Glitter could alter the color. With that being said, we added White Brew Glitter so the natural yellow popped with the white sparkle.
Speaking of color- did you know that the Hanukkah colors of white, blue, and silver have little to do with the actual holiday. It has everything to do with 20th Century American Culture. Since Hanukkah was becoming a bigger holiday, it needed its own set of colors. The most common reason for white and blue is because they are the colors of Israel's flag. They are also important colors to Israel.
Now that you've added the Brew Glitter, pop open that Prosecco and gently pour it in. Be mindful of the bubbles that could overflow the pitcher.
Once it's settled, cut up those pears and plop them right in! Pour and enjoy.
Now that we have a refreshing beverage, why not make another? Just... sweeter, redder and much more fun!
What you need:
- Maroon Red Brew Glitter
- White Pearl Sugar Sand
- Cranberry Juice
- Vodka
- Frosting
While the official colors of Hanukkah are white and blue, their most famous dessert is actually red. The Sufganiyot is a jelly filled donut that completes any Hanukkah meal. Sometimes filled with custard, this donut is truly iconic. So why not make it a drink?
This drink is pretty simple- add 1/8 teaspoon of the Maroon Red Brew Glitter into the bottom of your glass and add a single shot of vodka. Fill the rest of the glass with cranberry juice and add a pinch of sweet strawberry liqueur. And there you have it! Two amazing Hanukkah drinks to celebate with the family. From Brew Glitter to you- Happy Hanukkah!
