International Beer Day with Brew Glitter
Millions of people around the globe will celebrate International Beer Day on August 6th! As the number one manufacturer in the world of 100% edible beverage glitter, Brew Glitter wants you to celebrate in style and to show how different types of beer look with our shimmering glitter mixed in.
If you are serving a large number of guests, Brew Glitter can easily be added to a keg as well. You can reference our FAQ section to see the process and what amount of Brew Glitter you will need. For the occasion we offer 2 different color combo packs of a handful of our favorite colors which sparkle beautifully in beer all the way from the lightest pale ale to the darkest stout beer.
What started out as 4 friends simply calling local breweries, pubs, and bars in Santa Cruz, California in 2007 went completely viral and a few years later turned into an internationally celebrated beer festivity. On the International Beer Day website the founders state their goal: To gather with friends and enjoy the deliciousness of beer, to celebrate the dedicated women and men who brew and serve our beer, and to bring the world together by celebrating the beers of all nations and cultures on this one remarkable day.
For the lighter color beers such as pale ales, lagers, pilsners, bocks, and ipa's we put together a Beer Day pack with Orange, Yellow, Teal, Light Purple, Pink, and Green. In the picture of the blue beer we used 1/8 tsp of Blue Brew Glitter in the lightest Belgian Pale Ale. You can see how the blue hue is only slightly changed because the beer has only a thin yellow hue.
In the following example we took an American IPA, added 1/8 tsp Blue Brew Glitter, and as standard color theory applies, you get a dark green hue. With the 1/8 tsp Maroon Red Brew Glitter and an American Pale Ale you get a slightly less rich hue of red similar to a grapefruit color. When the Rose Gold is added to an English Pale Ale it simply creates a darker rose gold hue.
For the darker beers such as porters and stouts, our pack consists of Silver, Black Shimmer, Gold, Rose Gold, Bronze, and Clear Shimmer. Because the beer is so dark, we focus on Brew Glitter colors with the highest iridescence. They add a sensational shimmer and glittery shine. The main difference you will see between Gold and Silver for example is that the Gold adds a warm yellow hue to the beer as opposed to the silver which adds a cooler color.
We hope this gives you a good idea of how Brew Glitter looks in different types of beers so you can celebrate in style. From all of the family at Brew Glitter, we hope you enjoy International Beer Day by taking 25% off BULK Brew Glitter!!
